Beate's Be Inspired Challenge #20

I haven't done a challenge from Beate forever.. I am so glad she is back in the game... I missed reading her blog.. She is so amazing.. Jump over to her blog and check out all the amazing artwork she is creating..  Beate's Blog

I haven't use this stamp set for ever it seams.. It will always be forever one of my favorites. It was retired so It is sadly no longer available from Stampin'Up.
I created the pattern paper by using tape to create the dark lines with a Stampin' Sponge pounced in a Close to Cocoa.. classic stamp pad. I used a black stampin' write marker to make the pattern on the Pumpkin pie card stock.. Too customize your own dew drops I sanded the back of clear drops and colored with a sharpie brand marker and adheared with mini glue dots. I water colored the poppy with classic stamp pads.. I used my Aqua painter to layer the different shades starting with the lightest first. I used a Close to Cocoa marker to draw in more designs around the image.

stamp recipe:
Stamp Set-
Cardstock- Basic Black, Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Riding Hood Red.
Ink- Riding Hood Red, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron, Apricot Appeal, Close to Cocoa.
Marker- Close to Cocoa, Basic Black.
Ribbon- Chocolate Chip (Stampin' Up)
Adhesive Mini Glue dots, Snail and ATG gun.
Dew drops and Sharpie permeant marker
Movie finally finished-  "Sense and Sensibility"

A little this and that.

This is a quick little thank you I made for a new neighbor that just move in down the street. One on first meeting we were talking about all sorts of things and this box of crafty thing that her friend from work keep giving her and she has know idea what to do with it and would I please like to have it. She says she has not even one creative bone in her body.. She gave me so many great crafty treasures.. There was even a digital scrapbooking program from memory mixer in it.. COOL I had wanted to give it a try because my photo shop program is not compatible to my newer MAC... I mad this card with some of the product she gave me..  She also had 4 girls... My DD is very excited to have more girls in the neighborhood most her age are boys.. Which is ironic because one of her BFF from school is a boy... SHe get along with any age, boys and girls doesn't matter...
I made this 6x6 scrapbook page for a online group I belong to. We were to tell a little bit about our self that is not stamp related... HARD task to fit on a 6x6 not my favorite picture but it show what my hair really looks like when I don't straighten it...  p.s. there is no sewing on this page for the ribbon I used red-line tacky tape and my paper piercer to help loop the ribbon as I went along...

Have a great day it's going to be a hot one....

Hugs,
Brooke

Back to school today I have kids in 10th, 7th, 5th and pre-school in Sept.  So I thought I would post a scrapbook page from a class that I taught for my favorite scrapbook club ever.. LOVE you girls.. This night was all about Disney... This cute group of sister and mom are the biggest fans ever.... We had Disney music playing and one of the sisters even did a dance that she made up to "Fantasmic" when she was in Junior high... It was so much fun!  I even got to use my Cricut expression that my DH gave me for Christmas.. I never get a chance to use it... Mass production is a great way to get to know your machine...
Hope you all have a great day!

                 How to take a scrapbook page from 6x6 to a 8 1/2 x 11 to a 12x12.

If you want feel a great sense of accomplishment and don't have hours upon hour to scrapbook then a 6x6 album might just be the think for you... You can give the smaller albums a theme and with 12-20 pages you a done..... If you are at a scrapbook party and you make a 6x6 album but you scrapbook in a larger formate then I have a great solution for you of how to incorporate them to fit the size you scrapbook With the following photos and instructions below.

Finish 8 1/2 x 11 scrapbook page. I added the 6x6 page to the 8 1/2 x 11 page and added a few pictures of my family along with a addition title for the page. Smaller close up pictures are a great way to add more photos to a layout. Don't be afraid to loose the background and get close up on your subject.

Finished 12x12 scrapbook page. I laid the 81/2 x 11 scrapbook page on the 12x12 sheet of paper I wanted to use. Then I moved the finished 6x6 page over to the right edge of the larger 12x12 page. I them selected 2 larger photos of the kids and adjusted them to fit. Now I have room to add more journaling and a few more decorative elements.

This is a cute page we make at Convention I just changes out the words "You" for "US" and did a little journaling... If you haven't made an album that is small like a 8x8, 6x6 etc.. You should give it a try.. I love small albums you can give them a theme like family, B-day, Vacation, Hobbies, Graduation, Like and dislikes. Make an album all about me. It's very cathartic..  Stay tuned I will be posting news about a quarterly class that will be scrapbooking. We will complete an  small album each time we meet.

I challenge you all to give this a try them add a comment to this post were we can view it. Copy a direct link to the post not the web page.

Convention Day 4 Cont...

My HERO OF THE DAY!!!  My Up-line LINDA HANSEN (Man is she smokin' hot I love her hair)I don't get to see her as much as I would like she is so busy globe trotting for Stampin'Up. So I guess I could say I am sharing her with all of you...(he,he) p.s. Granny Ellie and Benny loved the picture of you singing with the wig on. They gave us cup cake yesterday for all the Strawberry Shortcake/Hello Kitty and other things my Abbie has grown out of....(Linda's grand babies our favorite neighbors)
To bad you can't go to convention as a Demo(giggle).

YA!!!! Jyll and I won the "Simply Scrapin' Kit and a new mini alphabet set called "Calendar Alphabet and numbers" from Jaron Winder's presentation!!  Sweet Niblets!! That's like over $40 dollars together. I had already set a goal to hold a quarterly scrapbook workshop and shabam!! The called out our purple striped wrist band... We were a lucky group we had 8 girls win.. Amazing luck we had like 30 girls in our group that sat together every day... Considering the amount of women we are so lucky... Hey Jaron is the one who gave me the set I won at regionals last year... Jaron is my me Lucky charm.... Now I can make cute projects for Patty Bennet and Corinne Somerville's that I saw a while ago...

During the "Main Stage Presentation" the last day is all FUN! We have a game show like "Stamp-tionary" you get the idea. Between all show there are commercials this is one of my favorites: "Convention Attendee Barbie" Look closely she is wearing the close you could buy in the Memento Mall. The house is decorated with Decor Elements,  She has a convention badge on and even has cards displayed on the table.. She even had a bag full of cards to swap at the convention. On the masseuse table there is even a laptop ready to up date her blog and order brand new thing just released... Best of all look at Mr. Brown. WHY was he not in MEMENTO MALL? We would have all bought him....

A UPS man who we all lovingly call Mr.Brown came on stage an had a package to deliver to someone he was a little confused as to who it was for. Shelli took a look and said that the address label said: ALL OF YOU!!!!! We all jumped up and screamed and clapped etc. you can imagine.... A big UPS truck drove out on the stage and UPS worker were coming in the Room from everywhere with Ups bags and handed out a stamp set to all of us.. The set we received was a gift from UPS as a thank you for all our with them business... This set is also the "Ronald Mc Donald House" set that a Huge portion of the profit goes directly to there charity. Stampin Up is a HUGE sponsor  and we are involved in lots of events to help out the Ronald Mc Donald House".

This is the Convention Center when Shelli announced that The Ups Man had Free Stamps For us all...
This is the free set that the UPS man delivered to all of us... This set matches the new scallop square punch.   Sweet!!!

They all autographed it even the doggie Milo.. How cute..

I'm sorry but that is one creative banner if I don't day so my self.. I might have to ask my DH for a few tips.... Or maybe he will help me teach my next class(OR NOT)...

How sweet is that!! I am one lucky girl to have such a supportive loving
Husband and family who love and miss me when I am gone!!

Biggest Hero of them ALL!
MY SWEETY Who made it all possible. He told me my job was to have fun. He worked form home and is and will always be the best DADDY ever.. I don't compare in any light.... Love you forever...
HUGS and KISSES... I LOVE YOU!!!
