I {heart} new stamps!!!! This set is in the new Stampin' Up catalog that will be available on the 19th of January... I wasn't going to pre-order this one but..... I did.. I actually ordered it on the 13th at like midnight and it came this afternoon the 15th... SWEET!!!! So cool when you are only 12 miles away :) This card was created using a favorite technique of mine called Emerging color here is another example of this technique on a card I made a while back.. I have already ranted and raved about how I like pinks and oranges together..(also I didn't use Craft colored card stock I reaching out) but I have never though to use Ruby Red... Sure genius on Kristina's part... I LOVE IT... I might even have to buy a package of Ruby Red know.. Just a little F.Y.I..... I have been using the Ruby Red marker when I need a Riding Hood Red Marker is works great for a little substitute... Sense they don't make in-color markers and I am to lazy to make my own from a blender pen of old dried out marker....
Here is a little tilted angle so you can see the Embossed Emerging effect I also used glossy paper the ink spreads so evenly on this paper, the colors are more vivid and the embossing just turns out SOOOOO much better. When you wipe off the extra ink after brayering over the whole paper.. You have more control of the color you can get you cloth or paper towel moist or spray water directly on the project and take some color off... I watch an old favorite go-to movie for this color scheme for inspiration...
